Why a Static Mixer
One of the most important aspects of the water disinfection process is the dissolution of ozone gas, and a static mixer is the perfect tool to optimise that process. Why ozone water disinfection? It is highly effective over a broad pH range, and it rapidly kills to bacteria, viruses, and protozoans. More than that, though, it doesn’t add any chemicals to the treated water. Static mixing assists with that process in the treatment application. By dividing and recombining the flow stream, the fluid becomes more homogenous. Essentially, a static mixer helps to offer a more uniform rate of turbulent energy dissipation, which creates micro-mixing. Studies have shown that systems that use static mixers show far higher transfer efficiencies over other options.
Our Ozone Static Mixers include mixing elements that guarantee full wall to wall distribution of micron size ozone bubbles. That means just one ozone static mixer can offer 100 times longer mixing time as opposed mechanical mixers. The regular pipe line bottom and sidewall short circuiting of ozone is completely eliminated.
